Project Overview: SNFCC "The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center"
Ieronimakis Inox has successfully completed its work in one of the most important projects realized in Greece over the last decades, at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center. This complex attracts visitors from all over Greece and abroad. Let's get to know the project a bit better:
The SNFCC is located at Faliro Bay, next to the sea, occupying 210 acres. The design of the buildings, including the new National Library and the new National Opera, was designed by the architectural office of the world-renowned architect Renzo Piano (Renzo Piano Building Workshop "RPBW"). It is a project with modern design and minimalistic elements, which harmoniously blend with the location and that emphasizes the beauty of the natural landscape. It is worth mentioning that this project is also the first project in Greece that earned a Platinum Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification, the highest possible distinction for environmental and sustainable buildings.
This great project was entirely conceived and realized by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation and was recently handed over as a donation to the Greek Government and to the Greek people, right after the completion of the works.
Ieronimakis Inox feels very proud not only for being part of this project but also for having successfully completed the construction and installation of various architectural elements in many areas of the project, such as the Auditorium of the Greek National Opera, the parking building "Car Park" and the surroundings of the Park.
